Swaantje Kaiser

Violin

Born in Kiel in 1996, she grew up in a family of musicians and started playing the violin at the age of five. She was a junior student at the Hochschule für Musik Lübeck in the class of Heime Müller. In 2016 she startet her Bachelorstudies at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg with Gottfried von der Goltz and Sebastian Hamann.


Her early passion for chamber music developed with the foundation of the
Kaiser-Joseph-Trio Kiel, exploring the multifaceted repertoire for stringtrio.
Especially her interest in Early and Contemporary Music leads her to work
together in different chamber music formations. She is a founding member of the NEXUS Quartett, the Kompass Ensemble and the Angler Quintett.


She was a member of the Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie, the NDR
Jugendsinfonieorchester, the orchestral academy of the Theater Kiel and could gain experience as concertmaster of the Landesjugendorchster Schleswig-Holstein, the Ernst-Barlach-Orchester Kiel and the Orchestra of the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. Currently she is playing in the Bachorchester Freiburg, the Ars Viva Ensemble, the ensemble reflector and the Main-Barockorchester Frankfurt. In March 2019 she took part in the student Opera Projekt of the Magic Flute “Operation der Künste” with performances in the UdK Berlin and the HfMDK Frankfurt.


She played in concert halls such as Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Köln Philharmonie,
Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kieler Schloss, Konzerthaus Freiburg, Sir Georg Solti Chamber Hall Budapest and House of the Blackheads Tallinn.
As a soloist she appeared with the Schleswig-Holstein-Sinfonieorchester, the Ensemble Kadenza, the Chamber Orchestra of Kiel and the Ernst-Barlach-Orchestra Kiel.

She attended masterclasses with Christian Sikorski, Guy Braunstein, Latica
Honda-Rosenberg, Harald Kimmig (improvisation) and masterclasses for
Baroque Violin with Gottfried von der Goltz, Reinhard Goebel and Ton Koopman.


Since January 2018 she is teaching in the intercultural Orchestra con anima
Freiburg.
